back.in.action

hmmm.. it’s a good thing i added tunku halim in facebook (am a avid user of fb nowadays hehe)(am a huge fan of his works) and saw him mentioning the wordpress blog..i have been meaning to get me self a wordpress blog but never get to do really do it.up until now(i link the new blog here, check my blogroll~(so now i have two blogs.real blogs)

i have decided to get back to writing(after about 11 years of stopping..LOL.. i am turning 27 in fall ‘09 so u do the math when i really got into serious writing, tho never officially published lah) and want to really excel at it (even if i am not sure yet on how i am going to do that)..

i have been craving for a dslr which i cant get my hands on yet(and that gift i am suppose to get also is not coming as i hoped it wud be!!), with all the Uni fees, and adding salt to the injury is my car finally broke down and needed mass repairment(if that’s even a legit word to describe it). so halted, for the time being, is my dream to become an official amateur photographer(anyone want to donate 2nd hand good-conditioned Canon/Nikon dlsr?hmm..i dont think so,too)

so much things i wanted to to do, but so many things making difficult to start. i even postponed my vocal classes and haven’t really send any songs demo to people i should be sending.

but i needed a fresh start, a new project to keep my spinning head of all these frustration so maybe i should start with wordpress.blog.ramblings.LOL..

if any of you earthlings happened to bumped into my new blob, then do stay for awhile.talk to me.

cheers,

baking.officially~

yes.it’s official that i am now crrazee about baking cakes. i did ventured into this world of flour, sugar and butter a few times earlier when i was in uitm, and what came out of the oven can be sum up in one word:FAILURE!i gave up and thought, baking is not my cuppa tea(or should i say cuppa flour?LOL)..

it’s rather ’sayang’ since i am kinda good in making donuts, kuih pau and i do cook a few delicacies to the perfection that i believe it would be more complete if i can excel or at least managed to do some baking. Fetriani(Allah bless her and her lovely family) had dragged me a few months ago into trying this very easy ‘baking game’. she was so excited saying ‘alah, bukan guna oven pun, all you have to do kukus je kek coklat’ and se even took the liberty to jot down the recipe and gave it to me matter-of-factly.

i was tempted.and i did tried for the sake of it. IT WORKED!my cake was nice, and heavenly baked and furthermore, ayah loved it so much he wanted me to bake more after his umptenth helpings..there and then i figured, maybe baking is something i can do after all.

i have been ‘kukus’ing cakes for sometime now, i think it’s time for me to go bold and get me self an oven for me cakes..(making a determined face) LOL..

next step is to go to this Bake With Me store to get the stuffs i need for my cake, and starts baking away..(and yeah, i do remember i still need to get the oven ~wink~)

but before i get the oven, i am planning to try this Ants’ Hill Sponge Cake (Kek Span Sarang Semut) recipe i got from the internet..i love this cake and all i have to do is kukus for less than 2hrs..cake,an’one?

the one with hakikat rezeki

i had a rather depth discussion on something rather emotional (for me at least) with one of my officer just now. .i needed to get some things of my head so thought why not i blog something..

since it’s ramadhan, then maybe i do a lil bit of tazkirah lah here..i am not good at it but at least if i share this with everyone who happen to check out my blob then i guess it’s good lah.. bulan ramadhan nie elok la kita buat amal lebih sikit..so here goes;

a young man (let’s name him Din) was walking along a road when he happened to passed a masjid and an ustaz was at the time giving ceramah..he was not actually someone who visited masjid  to listen to ceramah regularly but he happened to passed the place so he decided to stop for awhile and listened what the ceramah was about. it happened to be about hakikat rezeki..he overheard the ustaz saying that rezeki is like death, you can run and hide wherever whenever you want but it will still ‘run after you’.. the man was in deep thoughts and as he moved away from the masjid, and he told himself that he needed to put this statement to a test. So…

he decided to leave the village and went into the jungle, where people are most likely wouldnt venture into. To him, foods and drinks are what we define as rezeki so, he says, if he is to stay deep in the jungle with no food and water to survive, how can the ‘rezeki’ come to him?i mean, who would go into the jungle just to find you and give you food and drink for free..right?so he says.. :) and he waits..no food came hehe..

after a while, he heard a conversation and as he looked down, he saw two men with a few goats coming towards him..as he listened, he came to understanding that both men had stolen the goats from his fellow villagers and had fled and decided to split up, dividing the goats among them. din heard in astonishment but decided to keep quiet. he listened some more.. both men decided to rest for  awhile before splitting up and decided to roast one of the goat to fill up their empty stomach…

dijadikan cerita, as they where about to slice the mutton and eat, they heard a commotion not far and din saw the villagers coming towards them..both thieves ran as fast as they can, leaving the goats(both alive and roasted hehe) behind..the villagers scouted around and see no men. they saw the roasted mutton and one villager suggested they eat it rather than putting it to waste, but another obejcted, saying there might be poison in it. one of the villager who was still looking around, hoping to find the thieves happened to look up and saw Din!! he shouted and asked Din to come down, thinking Din was the culprit.

Din, trembling and speechless, went down the tree and before he could say anything, one of the villager shove a piece of the roasted meat into his mouth (the plan was to see if the meat has poison or not) and trying to avoid ‘rezeki’, Din tried hard not to open his mouth..a few seconds passed and finally the villager managed to shove the mutton into Din’s mouth..at that moment, Din couldnt help himself and laughed so loud it startled all the birds, rabbits and deers (for effects la hehehehe) in the jungle.

he explained that he was not the thief and he explained from A to Z what he was doing up on the tall tree deep in the jungle and WHY he was refusing the mutton from being put into his mouth..

so y’all,if DIn couldnt run away from his rezeki of daging kambing panggang koboi (hehe), so do we .. but remember, if even if we knew that rezeki would eventually come our way (en izat reminded me that how soon the rezeki comes to us is based on how good our relationship is with Allah swt), that is NOT an excuse for us not to do anything and just wait for the rezeki to fall into our lap (and our mouth hehe)..

till then..renung²kan.. selamat beramal~

cheers~

the one with qada and qadar

i was contemplating to go on a getaway with abby to seoul (soul of asia hehe)end of this year and had planning for that since last year.. oh how i want to visit all the interesting places there(i especially want to go to itaewon, seoul tower, myeondong and dongdaemun eat halal kimchi and maybe head to jeju island

hihi)..maybe bumped into one or two of my fav artists hehe..

kimchi (fermented cabbage and spices)

kimchi (fermented cabbage and spices)

seoul tower at night (aka namsan tower)

seoul tower at night (aka namsan tower)

but i am pretty sure it is not going to happen in the near future..well, you know the common reasons of it falling apart  lah; $$, time, commitment and my ibu nagging about my plans for foreign places..

i called abby up while at work yesterday and mentioned about bandung.. then she said maybe we should opt for something more adventurous like cambodia.. :D rupa²nya our conversation was overheard by one of the officers..he asked me where am i going and i told him lah.. he asked why would i want to go to those places.. what happened if i got was abducted, killed, etc? well i do understand the risk i woud put myself into if i do go to cambodia but i think bandung is pretty safe lah kan? anyways, i replied him by saying if it’s happens, it happens (those bad things) dah ketentuan kan..the he answered..if you have the time to avoid it, then why wont u?..

that got me into thinking and it kinda bothered me then.. so if i took all the time i have to avoid it, i mihgt not be doing a lot of things then.. then again,if i say it’s gonna happen if it happens, then i redha..

i asked about this to one other officer that i always turn to when i wanted a islamic point of view.. this is what he advised me;

it is true and the right thing to do that we should try and put efforts  to avoid bad things from happening to us.. and if it is written in qada’ and qadar that it is going to happen to us one day, then we have tried our best to avoid it while we can and when it does happen then we should ‘redha’ and never blame the ketentuan from Allah s.w.t..

and he also advised me it is not really suitable to answer “kalau dah ketentuan nak buat macam mana..” because in a way it means that we are blaming what is written for us..

well, that sheds some light on that issue (at least for me ) and i think i have a better view and better understanding of qada’ and qadar now.. and now i understand why i was asked “if you have the time to avoid it, then why wont u?”… (terima kasih en izzat for the advise and terima kasih en azmi for being concern)

so now the plan is.. to go on and save for the trip (not sure where we going yet la .. hehehe..suggestions anyone??) and pray that everything goes well and we’ll be safe to and fro.. insyaAllah~

i was going thru some of my friends’ fs and bumped into this ‘whats hidden in your name’ thingy so i decided to try it out.. well, whaddya know.. it spills alot things that IS me.. hehe.. just want to share it with you guys.. if you guys want to try it out, click on the link at the bottom of the definitions (well, en azmi was right after all, i am a classic A type just like our boss hahaha)

Suami: Awak dah cari betul-betul? Mungkin salah letak.

Isteri: Saya dah cari dan saya pasti Atun yang curi.

Suami: Betul kamu tak ambil Atun. Baik kamu cakap betul-betul. Jika tidak susah kamu.

Atun: Betul, sumpah Pak saya tak ambil. Bapak pun kan tahu saya tak pakai seluar dalam, masakan saya mau ambil seluar dalam ibu. Nak buat apa saya…………

Isteri: ??????????

gelihati excpert 3

THIS IS EXCELLENT :)
YOU’LL HAVE A GOOD LAUGH AT YOURSELF !!
Try it..

How smart is Your Right Foot?

Just try this. It is from an orthopedic surgeon………… This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can’t. It’s preprogrammed in your brain!

1. While sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number ‘6′ in the air with your right Hand. Your foot will change direction.

I told you so!!! And there’s nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you’ve not already done so. Isnt this so frustrating?

p.s: still fighting with my right foot!!HAHAHA… ok now back to work y’all~you can continue fighting after u reach home, maybe while waiting for time to sungkai~

couldnt finish this LOL .. some help maybe..

the one with bad chemicals

chemicals (read: A substance with a distinct molecular composition that is produced by or used in a chemical process.

i have been receiving a lot emails about bad chemicals in food, personal care products even baby products and it became increasingly a lot these days. latest, i receive this email that says the content (one of the main content i tell u) of most shampoos in market are actually harmful to our health.doink~ and to think that i am a shampoo-hopper(what can i say my hair’s a sport LOL) sure scare the he*l outta me..i mean u can live life dangerously, pero mi amor, only to certain extent..

and i quote the content of the email i received:-

“…All these Shampoos use a chemical called SLS which is actually a floor cleaner. They are used so as to produce more foam.
Imagine what a floor cleaner can do to you hair and scalp. It will damage the very roots of your scalp.

Check out for SLS in toothpaste too!!!
Use the ones which are free from this extremely harmful chemical.

Type in “SLS Free Shampoo” or “SLS Free Toothpaste” in Google.com to get a list of companies selling safe products…”

Hows that for an eye opener? there are some shampoospics attached to the emails but i dont want to get sued so u guys might wanna check the Google yea.. i mean my ibu is an avid organic product comsumer now (and she sells them too .p/s: Oprah  is a big fan of the products as well ~wink~) and ibu is now always finding reason and time to preach on the chemicals we are actually ‘consuming’ in our foods, the utensils we used as well as other products we use daily.( i get free organic stuffs from ibu so .. OK lah hehe and so far, i am getting good results from the consumptions!kudos to my ibu~)

a day one month ago when i came back from work, tired and starving, i decided to have some instant noodle (read:MAGGI)

and being the lazy person (at times we should let our id rules aight?) i am that day, i decided to just ‘rendam’ the maggi instead of cooking it (sometimes 2 mins is way too short of a period to mess with the cooking utensils LOL)..i looked for a perfect bowl to put my dear maggi inside and whaddya know, i found this cute yellow bowl with Maggi’s logo written on it. huhu so i used it.. ibu saw me hovering over the Maggi using that bowl and she simply went berserk.. scolding me that i am not only eating the Maggi but actually eating the chemicals from the bowl that is ’swept’ off the bowl by the hot water. i just finish my Maggi fast and wash the bowl (secretly hoping ibu wont throw the bowl away hehe)..why would people want to create a bowl for Maggi when it’s actually unusable rite?all these while we have been using a lot of plastic products (yup the yellow bowl is made of plastic)..

but receiving the email about the shampoo changed my opinion on these sorta things, chemical and stuff..  there are harmful products out there(make X FILES sound effects)..maybe the maggi people who made the bowl didnt (or pretend not to know) know that the bowl exudes chemical into the food when countered with heat..now we are only using ceramics and Tupperware®  at home. ayah throw away the bowl (sad~! now i cant make make the infamous yellow Maggi bowl stance hihi) but honestly i am glad he did. i can be stubborn sometimes and might still use the bowl..

as for the shampoo, i bought one big bottle of a commercial shampoo and a few days later i received the email (thanx dear Ann for the enlightenment)..i am so darn torn apart from using the shampoo or not coz to tell u the truth the bottle is pretty big(and its kinda mahal also..sigh~) and so sayang to throw it away.. ibu say can use for washing car HAHA..see firstly lah.. i might convince ibu to get extra bottle of that organic shampoo for us($$..ka-ching!)..i went to one of the shopping complex in town a coupla days ago with my bro to look for keyboards and singgah a minute at the Guardian and checked all the shampoos on shelves. even this ayuverdic product i am using for facial care has SLS in its shampoo (uwaaa~)

maybe i shoud consider washing my hair with the slimey bunga raya ‘juice’.. (thats how umi aida gets her lovely mane u know).. hehe.. only if i cant stand the smell though..~

anyways, i am glad i blog about this coz i think we should share this kinda things..not only we remind ourselves about the danger of chemical in our foods, clothes, personal cares and stuff but but not using these products, we are helping each other taking are of mother Earth u know..

so.. fikir²kanlah..dan selamat menajga kesihatan..

the one with the RTs

I would be stuck in the traffic jam if I leave office and head for home now so I figured I’d stay for a while and blog something up..i had a few things in mind but maybe I’d talk about ringtones since I am planning to change mine soon..(Check out Give You The World by The D.E.Y..cool song peeps)..

Here’s the thing; I had a few new songs in my collection that made me fel like I want to use them for my ringtones; one was the song I mentioned above and another was a silly yet entertaining song from a local guy called Baha Tungau (reach me if you haven’t  heard of the song LOL..i can send u a copy).. then I remembered an incident when I was in a meeting with a bouch of important people (at work) and we were going down with the last preparations for an event happening the day after. As the chairman (which is also our big boss) was going through the agendas, suddenly a ringtone started blasting in mid air and the funny sound and everyone had a hard time holding back their laugh; at least I was..not coz the starting of the RT was funny but the Rt doesn’t really suits the ambience of the meeting (the RT was that song AspaLela by Apek hehe)..

The person who was responsible of having the RT blasting in the discussion room went out to answer the call and big boss managed to make a remark (“macam² ringtone..” he said with a smirk on his face) about the RT. Then almost everyone in the room managed a chuckle.

We continued the discussion and I guess everyone forgot about it.

I did but it came back to me. I realized something that triggers something I read in RD (read:readers digest) about how RT that we choose to ‘represent’ us actually reflects who we are. And it was advised that even we are so ‘tergoda’ to use those fancy RT for our fancy mobile phone, try to remind ourselves to change it to a silent mode in meeting room or at least change the RT to a decent and more professional RT for the sake of our own ‘good impression’ when it is needed (workplace, meetings, presentations, interviews, formal dinners, dan yang sewaktu dengannya)

I am currently using Richado’s Kuperlukanmu so the soul of the song is somehow not too ‘annoying’..blessed him for making such a nice song (check out Richado’s album The Beginning of A Tune)

So people out there, get suitable RT for your mobile phones ya. It might get a promotion (or not), get you a job (or not)..and things like that~

Ciao!
